Design Study

Design studies are an important part of our offering. We can help you develop preliminary models and specifications to kick off your project and hep you define your requirements. We can take these requirements and develop them further to detailed manufacturing details. We can tailor our output to completely suit your requirements and budget.

Project Management

We are a design consultancy at our core, but if you are looking to have a single point of contact to deal with all the day to day operations of your project then we can still support you. We can work with you in the early stages of your project to help you define budget and timeline, while later supporting the delivery of your project.

Engineering Design

We have the benefit of a wide range of engineering experience to help us support our clients. We produce true to life 3D models of all equipment we design. These models directly feed into any manufacturing drawings or information we produce meaning what you see on screen is what you will receive. It gives us the opportunity to treat the model as a full virtual prototype, spotting errors and clashes before we even get past the design review process. We don't simply produce drawings, but calculation and experience backed designs you can have confidence in.

We have experience in process engineering, pressure vessels, automotive components, refinery/casting equipment, production line equipment and automated production equipment.

  • Process Engineering - Expertise in the engineering of industrial processes, including chemical, physical, and biological systems.
  • Pressure Vessels - Specialization in the design and manufacture of Stainless Steel pressure vessels in compliance with regulations and applicable international standards.
  • Automotive Components - In-depth knowledge in the design and production of essential parts for motor vehicles.
  • Refinery/Casting Equipment - Experienced in the design and development of bespoke Lead refining and casting equipment.
  • Production Line Equipment - Proficient in designing and optimizing equipment for efficient production lines.
  • Automated Production Equipment - Specialized in the development of machinery for automated manufacturing processes.

If we can support you team or project then don't hesitate to get in touch.

CE/UKCA marking

If your plant or equipment must be in conformity with any CE/UKCA marking directives we can support you in ensuring the equipment complies even if someone else ultimately manufactures the equipment. We can support the following Directives:

  • Machinery Directive: This directive applies to the manufacturing of machinery and certain parts of machinery. It specifies essential health and safety requirements to ensure user safety.
  • Pressure Equipment Directive: This pertains to the design, manufacture, and conformity assessment of pressure equipment and assemblies with a maximum allowable pressure above 0.5 bar. It ensures safety in the handling of high-pressure equipment.
  • Simple Pressure Vessels Directive: This directive is specific to simple pressure vessels manufactured in series. It sets standards for the design, manufacture, and assessment to ensure they can withstand pressure without risks.
  • Low Voltage Directive: It covers electrical equipment designed for use within certain voltage limits. It ensures the safety of the equipment in terms of electrical safety for users and the wider environment.
  • ATEX Directive: This is applicable to equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. It aims to ensure the safety of equipment in environments where there's a risk of explosion.
  • Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulations: These regulations are aimed at ensuring that equipment does not emit, or is not affected by, electromagnetic disturbance beyond a certain level. This is important for the functioning of a wide range of electrical and electronic equipment.

Virtual Reality

Virtual reality generally finds itself fitting into two categories. The first is where it simply acts as a gimmick where it is there just to impress the people who were not a part of the engineering process. The second is where companies take a deep dive, providing VR models of a project where all assets are labelled and there is interactive content available to help train the user on the desired equipment. These type of simulation often offer many additional features to create a rich experience.

The problem with the former is that it doesn't add any real value to the project, the project would progress just as well without it. The later has the problem of only being available to organisations who have lots of time and resources to setup and prepare such a simulation.

We are able to offer a quick and affordable solution to get your model into VR quickly to facilitate the design process. We can bring you models into VR to enable first person real world scale design reviews. Ever print something off thinking it was complete only to notice a mistake after doing so. Imagine that, but on a much more impactful scale. We can provide that gimmick factor, while keeping costs down all the while adding real value to the project.

BIM 360

Getting lost in BIM360? Its a deep rabbit hole. We can support projects running on the Autodesk Construction Cloud. We can provide design support to the project, but more importantly we can provide administration support to properly configure and manage your BIM project.

Autodesk Deployment

Most companies have a handle on their IT infrastructure, but not everyone has the understanding of their CAD systems to configure and deploy company wide CAD system. This is a specialist area that many in house IT teams don't have the necessary experience of. If you are looking to take on Inventor, Vault, Plant 3D or perhaps other Autodesk applications we can help you plan and implement the systems so the transition goes smoothly and you get the best out of your investment.
